As a licensed clinician, I am required by law to adhere to the HIPAA Privacy Act (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act).  I am also required to remain in accordance with the NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Code of Ethics at all times.  At the first session, you will be required to sign a Notice of Privacy Practices.  This form is to ensure your understanding of the rights you have to keep your health information protected. 

Your privacy and confidentiality is of utmost importance to me.  Your trust and willingness to fully disclose in sessions is essential in our work together.  I consider our working together a privilege and hold my responsibility to maintaining your privacy at the highest regard.
